Isaiah House has been a community fixture since 1988. Our mission is to reduce the prevalence of homelessness and hunger throughout Essex County and more specifically, within the Oranges and Newark. In 2017, we housed 179 families, 104 of which were single teens and young adults. Our chefs worked diligently to provide 3  nutritious meals a day for both our residents and staff. 

Unfortunately, our commercial stove has been on the fritz for months and we have seemingly had it repaired 4 or 5 times. Now it seems there is no repair that will salvage one side of the stove and the other is just barely getting hot. We have put too much into trying to repair it and need help from our community.

We cook for hundreds of people per day and this is becoming a major struggle for us. The stove we priced was $2700 and as you might have guessed, it's not in the budget. Your donation will allow us to purchase a new commercial stove and prepare delicious and nutritious meals in a timely manner.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
