Hi my name is Erica, I am Isaiah’s Diaz mom and I am asking for help normally I would not have do this but my 16 year old son had a stroke on August 29, 2022. It came out of no where because to us he was always a healthy kid never had to be hospitalized or go to the doctor for any illness. On Monday August 29th 2022 I rushed him to the hospital because he was displaying stroke symptoms and when we got there they did a ct scan and told us he had a brain stem bleed and was being transferred to another hospital for care… I reported the status to my job that I just started in may 2022 that I would need to start paid family leave because my son is a minor and I need to be at the hospital with him but it was denied because I haven’t been there long enough so now I’m looking into any options for help being that I don’t know where I am going to get income for next month until we figure it out… he was hospitalized and on a ventilator and also feeding tube waiting for progress to start rehab therapy I’m honestly stressing because I never get behind on any bills and this was unexpected my son has just got a trach last night and is awaiting updates to start recovery it’s gonna be a long road to recovery for him but I thank anyone who takes the time to read this and wants to donate I have been blessed with so many peoples prayers and people blessing us by helping me so far I appreciate it from one parent to the next
