My name is Terri Himelick, i have known the abels since Isaiah was a baby watching his older brother and sister take taekwondo. When he was 12 years old he started taking class from me. Isaiah may be 21 years old now but he always holds a piece of my heart. He switched to mma after he received his black belt. He entered his 3rd amatuer mma fight with a record of 2-0. During the second round he went into cardiac arrest and dropped to the mat. Cpr was started in the ring and a tube was placed to help him breathe. He was tranferred to the closest hopsital in evansville. His twin brother made the call to their dad who was 4 hours away in fort wayne. The call no parent wants to get, “Isaiah stopped breathing and collapsed, they are doing cpr, he is white and his lips are blue, he is twitching.” Dad made it down to too him later that night. He was stable but intubated because he couldn’t breathe on his own. I am setting this up for the family to help with travel expenses since he is so far away and has a younger sister who is still in high school.
