Isabelle Kovacs Fund

Donation protected

I have known Nicole Kovacs since my adolescents and she is more a sister than a friend. “My Nic” and her husband Zoltan have endured more challenges than any married couple should, yet they have remained steadfast for each other and their family. They have faced all their challenges, worked together to overcome those challenges, and kept their family intact, bound together with love and devotion.

In 1996, Nicole and Zoltan lost their first son, Christian, to Potter’s Syndrome. Christian lived for 18 hours after he was born.

In 1997, their second son, Jacob, was also born with Potter’s syndrome, an occurrence that the doctors had informed Nicole and Zoltan, after Christian, was highly unlikely. Jacob lived for 45 minutes.

In 1998, their third child, Isabelle, was born with one kidney.

In 2000, their forth child, Zoltan Jr. was born normal and healthy.

In 2013, a confluence of events resulted in Zoltan completely changing his career and relocating to Georgia from Pennsylvania. In the three years since the change, the Kovacs have been working tirelessly at the arduous task of rebuilding and reestablishing their lives.

When Isabelle turned 17, Nicole and Zoltan found out that their beautiful and otherwise healthy daughter has Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser Syndrome. MRKH, as it is known, is a congenital condition that affects the female reproductive system, the effects of which, at least partially, can be corrected surgically. Isabelle’s surgery is scheduled for July 6, 2016 in Atlanta, 4 hours distant from where the Kovacs currently live.

While they have minimal health insurance coverage, Nicole and Zoltan are facing yet another enormous challenge both with the health of their daughter and the significant cost of dealing with her health issue. Nicole and Zoltan need a little help.

I am sponsoring this fund raiser to help defray the costs of the surgery, the travel, and the rehabilitation for their daughter Isabelle. 100% of the Proceeds* from this fundraiser will go to the Kovacs. Please give what you can. No amount is too small.

Thank you for finding it in your heart to help this family.

Sincerely,

Tami Stone
