Isabelle Nash - Sydney surgery

My darling Isabelle is only 4 years old and has a condition called Prehepatic Portal Hypertension causing her to have Oesophageal Varices. This means there is a blockage in her portal vein from her liver and she is bleeding inside her oesophagus.

Over the past 18 months Isabelle has had 7 procedures where the varices have been banded.

What she is really needs is an organic shunt attached to nerves inside her liver which will redirect her blood flow through her body. This surgery is very invasive and complicated with a long recovery

There are no Paediatric Gastric Surgeons in Perth so we need to travel to Sydney so she can have this surgery to help her condition.

We will be away from family and friends for approximately 3 weeks and need help.

Shane will be staying home with our boys and I will be going as the parent escort for Isabelle.

When we return, I will be Isabelle’s caregiver while she recovers and will not be able to work for a while.
