Isabella's Japan Study Abroad Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Isabella, and I am very proud to have been accepted into my university’s study abroad program. This upcoming 2025/2026 Fall Semester I will be fulfilling one of my greatest dreams of traveling to Japan.
I am an English major in my third year of college going for an environmental science certificate and will complete my studio arts minor while abroad. By maintaining good grades and a 3.9 GPA, I am also enrolled in my universities honor program.
Why Japan? Japan was certainly not picked on a whim! I have been learning the language and writing system for nearly 2 years now. I am drawn to Japan’s vibrant culture, historical destinations, bustling cities and sleepy seasides. Being able to immerse myself in this once in a lifetime destination while studying art would be an experience I would certainly never have again. After graduation I aim to be a children’s book writer and illustrator.
The overall cost of the program is over $22,000. Despite being a full-time college student, I am working two part time jobs to earn as much money as I can. My parents pledged to help fund this trip, but they can only contribute so much as my brother will be entering college in the fall. There are many factors that contribute to this cost, such as airfare, housing, the costs of classes, insurance and ensuring I have enough to support myself during this 3 month stay!
I humbly ask for your contribution to aid the immense financial burden of this trip. I cannot thank you enough for reading, sharing, and donating. Your generosity makes a world of difference to me.
