Isabella’s Breast Reduction

Hi :) I’m putting together this gofundme in hopes of raising some money to help me with surgery costs for a breast reduction.

My chest has always been too large for my frame, causing a lot of back and shoulder pain throughout my life. This surgery is meant to help relieve the pain and stress I’ve been living with since I was 12 years old.

Having a chest that has been larger than average has caused a lot of self esteem and body image issues since I was younger. Clothes have always fit me differently because of it, so I couldn’t keep up with the trendy new bathing suits or dainty shirts that everyone was wearing. I’ve cried in so many dressing rooms because shirts or dresses don’t fit how they should. I have to purchase bras at speciality stores, which also means they’re more expensive than the average bra.

Having a heavy chest became an identifier for me most of my life and has led to constant judgement and harassment. I’ve felt like my body doesn’t belong to me and this surgery will help me feel more confident and aligned with myself.

It’s really hard for me to put out this very personal information in a such a public way, and to ask for help in general. I really believe this surgery will improve my quality of life. It will help with the daily pain and discomfort, and my overall happiness. Unfortunately, getting this procedure covered by insurance can take years, and it still isn’t guaranteed, so all of my expenses will be paid out of pocket. The donations that you provide will go directly toward the surgery.
