Isabella Ana Diego was born prematurely at 23 weeks on December 12 2022; three months earlier than her original due date. She suffered a brain bleed along with other medical complications that prolonged her hospital stay in the NICU for 3 whole months. She was discharged in March 2023 and was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus ( excess fluid buildup in the brain) and is needing to get a ventriculoperitoneal shunt placement that drains excess cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). With each day that passes Isabella’s condition continues to rapidly progress. We are hoping to get her treatments and surgery done as quickly and efficiently as possible at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, California.
