During the course of her initial examination, the attending physician along with Isabella's dad noticed that there was a bit of an abnormality regarding one of her eyes as to its alignment. The attending Physician was told that this eye alignment issue had never been present prior to this ER visit. This abnormality prompted immediate additional tests to be performed.
Unfortunately, the additional tests and scans of her head showed a large mass on and around her brain. Surgery was scheduled immediately thereafter and the mass was removed and sent off for a biopsy. Needless to say, the results from the biopsy were every parents nightmare. Little Isabella had a rare form of Brain Cancer called Medullablastoma or Central Nervous System Embryonal Tumor of the Brain.
This is a rare type of cancer and it requires immediate Chemo Therapy treatment. Being that it's such a rare cancer, the actual long term treatment is somewhat unknown or new territory to some degree. To the point where little Isabella may require the need to be placed in some type of Trial in an effort to help eradicate this cancer from her.
There have been a few setbacks early on with some infections and such setting in, but Isabella is a fighter and she is battling on with unbelievable courage.
This is going to be a very a long road for Isabella and her entire family. In an effort to help the family cover some of the day to day living expenses, this GoFundMe page has been put into motion in an effort to raise some money to help this Family handle the day to day life expenditures and financial challenges that are ever present as little Isabella fights on.
Your financial assistance and generosity around this season of giving is greatly appreciated!
