Another Update from Isabella:
This is the absolute last thing I want to post right now, but I need all of the prayers I can get for my baby. It’s been a rough day. Started out with learning she has a blood clot in her heart and had a stroke in her brain. Around noon, they redid CT, and found that the spot in her brain had gone away (a true miracle). However, they found that the clot that was in her heart traveled to every single artery. On the positive side, all of her labs and functions of her organs appear to be fine, so the clots aren’t completely blocking her blood flow. They are going up on her blood thinners and are hopeful this will resolve. She cannot go into VAD surgery with blood clots, so we need a clear CT scan prior to heart surgery. I am living my worst nightmare and need prayers for Ali, and strength for us. This is really hard for me to share, but I know God’s got us and Ali will pull through this like the fighter she is.
Update from Isabella: Thank you all again for the continued support, it’s not going unnoticed and it has touched my heart like no other Ali had a challenging day today, but we are stable as of right now and hope it stays that way. They have told us she will need a heart transplant. We will be taken to Madison, Wisconsin tomorrow early afternoon so long as Ali is stable and her morning scans are good. The plan is for her to have LVAD heart surgery to keep her going while we wait the 3-6 months for a heart. Once she gets her heart transplant, it will be a long road of recovery. We were told to expect a relocation time frame of 2 years. Ali is a fighter and is showing true perseverance. I couldn’t be a more proud mommy. We miss her smiley, spunky self❤️
Hi - I’m Liv, Isabella’s friend and Ali’s self proclaimed Auntie. I wanted to start this account to help support Isabella so she and Trevor can just focus on their baby right now and nothing else.
Isabella is the most selfless and attentive mother to her girl and I am beyond proud to learn from her every day and be their friend. Isabella is a full time college student, as well as Trevor and her both working full time, all while giving their all to Ali.
Ali has suddenly gone into heart failure which has resulted in organ failure as well. She was life flighted to Iowa City last night, where the doctors were able to save her life. Currently, she is sedated and on ECMO as they allow her body to heal before trying to figure out what’s going on. She is considered critically stable right now, but will require lots of time in the hospital as they try to find answers and a way for her body to function fully with no support. Because of this, Isabella and Trevor will be taking unpaid leave, removing their source of income for any bills coming up. To get rid of one thing to worry about, please consider donating what you can, so Isabella, Trevor and their families can focus on their sweet little girl right now.
Please pray for this family.
