Isabel Olivarez and Myah Brown

These 2 promising young women need funding to go to the Powerlifting America Nationals.

Myah Brown is an active member of student council, running JV Track and Powerlift as an outside activity. She started working out in 2019 earning 6 Texas State records within my first year prior to COVID. I am working hard to prepare for my very first Powerlifting Raw Nationals Meet in Orlando FL this upcoming June 2022. I am very excited to have an opportunity to compete on this level in the sport.

She has run track for 8 years in school and Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). As an AAU athlete she qualified and participated in the AAU Junior Olympics 3 times (Des Moines, IA; Houston, TX; & Virginia Beach, VA) for individual and relay team events.

Isabel Olivarez is an honour student that began Powerlifting in 2016 at the age 11, in Jr. High School. Conditioning started in September and on November 4, 2016, competing in her first USA Powerlifting Meet. On April 22, 2017, at her second meet, she set nine Texas State Records. As a Freshman in High School, I started training with Coach Bell in March 2019. While training with Coach Bell, I have learned there is more to powerlifting than just adding plates to the bar and hoping to see those three white lights. I have learned that Powerlifting takes self-discipline, determination, hard work, and dedication.

Isabel Holds 3 regional, 2 state, and 4 national titles.
