For the past two and a half years my darling husband has been battling Cancer. It started in his urethra and he had a kidney removed in October 2021. Unfortunately the Cancer had already spread.

After 18 months of receiving bouts of chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, immunotherapy and participating in two drug trials at Barts Hospital in London, my darling husband is now in Isabel Inpatient Hospice at Welwyn in his final weeks. He is 51 years old and I’m distraught that we’re not having the chance to grow old together, and for him to see our 17 year old son become an adult.

All of the staff and volunteers at the Hospice have made us feel so welcomed and provide the very best of care for my husband and for us. We could not ask for anything more in his final weeks of life.
