Isabel Hospice - Andy's Story

Hi,

My name is Michael O'Driscoll, I have along with a few friends decided to compete in the Blenheim Palace Triathlon Sprint this year on the 1st of June 2024.

Although I stay reasonably fit, I've never competed in an event with 3 different biases.

Several of the team are first timers, Lieze & Henti Prins, Paul Stevens, Perry Byrne, Dan Marriot and myself.

We are along the way, aiming to raise funds for the Isabel Hospice charity.

Isabel Hospice has been providing free palliative care to its patients and their families since 1982. they give support and care to people in eastern Hertfordshire who are affected by life-limiting illnesses through their Hospice at Home, In-Patient Unit, Community Team, Living Well with Isabel programme and their Family and Bereavement support service.

Andy, who was an "Outdoor fanatic" a Personal trainer and mountain leader was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2023, Andy sadly passed away and was looked after and cared for by the IS Hospice team, he was the Uncle of our team member Dan Marriot, we all believe the the IS Hospice is a worthy cause and we would be grateful for anything you can offer in donation, whether it be a contribution on this GoFundMe page, or any donations to their shops, and it would be tremendous if you came and supported us at Blenheim on the day.
