Isaac's Peruvian Adventure
Donation protected
Hi friends, family and supporters.
My name is Isaac and I am a Year 10 student at Kings’ school. I am excited to share that I have an incredible opportunity to embark on a once-in-a-life time journey to Peru with World Challenge! I'm excited to take on this challenge as I will learn how other people in our global society live. This is not just a trip: It’s a chance for me to step outside of my comfort zone, experience a new culture, and contribute to a meaningful cause while pushing myself to grow personally. By having to fundraise the cost of my trip, I will also learn important financial life skills which will better equip me for the future. But I can’t do it without your help!
Help me take on a once-in-a-life time challenge in Peru!
What’s the challenge?
This expedition is a unique blend of adventure, personal development, and giving back. Over the course of the trip, I’ll be taking on challenges that include:
• Community service:
Working with local communities in Peru on projects that make a real difference, such as building infrastructure, supporting sustainable tourism to generate income in rural areas or aiding environmental conservation efforts.
• Trekking the Andes:
Testing my physical and mental endurance by hiking through some of Peru's most stunning landscapes, including the majestic Andes mountains.
• Cultural immersion:
Learning from and living alongside local communities to better understand their way of life, traditions, and perspectives. I will also have an opportunity to explore Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley.
Why it’s important.
This is more then just a travel experience. It’s an opportunity for me to:
1. Build Resilience: taking on physical and mental challenges outside of my comfort zone will help me grow stronger and more confident.
2. Learn empathy: working directly with communities will deepen my understanding of the world, the power of helping others and how to act for a more sustainable future at both local and global levels.
3. Make a positive impact: the projects we undertake will leave a lasting legacy for the communities we work with.
4. Develop Critical thinking: being challenged to think critically about topical issues that affect our past, present and future around the world will develop my critical reasoning skills.
How you can help:
The total cost of this once-in-a-life-time expedition is £6,000 which covers travel, accommodation, meals and project expenses. I am aiming to raise the full amount to make this dream become reality.
Every contribution, big or small will help me take a step closer to this incredible journey.
Here’s how you can support me:
Donate any amount you can spare. It will go a long way!
Please share if you can’t donate, sharing this page with your network would mean the world to me.
What you’ll get in return: your support means everything to me, and I would love to keep you updated throughout my journey so you can see the difference your generosity is making.
Thank you for believing in me and supporting this incredible opportunity – together we can make this journey unforgettable, for me and the people I’ll have the privilege to help in Peru.
With gratitude
Isaac
