Isaac and his Mom need your support

 

As many of you might know, my son Isaac started having some health issues at the beginning of last year. After many tests and stays in the hospital, we finally found out what was causing his brain swelling and pain.

 

Isaac was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and what this means is Isaac's brain is too large for his head. His brain is trying to squeeze through the opening for his spinal cord at the bottom of the skull, causing immense pain and discomfort, not having enough room to grow in his head. As you can imagine, the brain is supposed to have a large enough skull to accommodate growth. Isaac's skull is not large enough for his brain.

 

Doctors have tried all they can with medications to control the pain and discomfort it causes him, but they have run out of options. The best solution now is Brain Decompression Surgery. Isaac's surgery has been scheduled for February 9th. I will need to take another leave of absence to care for Isaac.

 

The minor surgeries were all costly, which has taken a toll on my finances. Because of the complexity of this surgery, I know the surgery will be more costly, but I will do and sacrifice whatever it takes to help Isaac.

 

The past year has been rough with all the Medical bills and unpaid leave I have had to take from work to care for Isaac. By having this surgery, there will be more unpaid leave and medical bills. I am a single mother, so I bear all the financial responsibility. I have never been the one to ask for help or money from anyone, but as a single mother of the most amazing kid out there, even my superhero powers will not be enough to make up the financial obligation while supporting the recovery of my son. If you can spare any amount, I would greatly appreciate the help.

 

If you cannot donate, I ask if you could please send cards to Isaac. I know he would love to open each one and know that there is an army out there praying and believing in him; that would be amazing!!
