My name is Isaac Blackman, I'm an 18 year old C4 Quadriplegic.
I was admitted into the hospital for my idiopathic
scoliosis and an elective posterior spine fusion. During the surgery something caused me to be paralyzed which later spread to c4 quadriplegia, my lung to collapse which forced me to be intabated. Through out my stay in the I.C.U I faced other complications such as a trache, ruptured appendix, stomach drains and a N.G tube.
I am raising money to modify my house so it will be wheelchair accessible. This money will be used remodel the bathroom, widen doors, put ramps and hardwood floors in some spots of the house.
This means the world to me because my family and friends are my main support system their constant motivation and compassion help keep my spirits high, a smile on my face and they also keep me motivated through physical and occupational as well as other therapies. In January I'm starting college and hope I'll be able to start modifications then, also.
If I recieve enough or close to enough funds to get the job done it will be greatly appreciated
