Isaac Suubi Mubiru passed away on Wednesday January 19th, 2022, at the tender age of 26, in his sleep.
Isaac was born at HEB Hospital in Bedford, Texas weighing only 2lbs, with a host of medical complications. Not too long after, he was flown to Cincinnati Children's Hospital, which would become his and his mother’s (Sylvia) home for the next 6months. He underwent open heart surgery, tracheostomy for breathing, and a G tube for feeding.
In order to live a normal life, Isaac needed a full-time nurse, and Ms. Arnell took ownership of the challenge and became his nurse, bonus mom, nana/jajja and confidant, until the time of passing. At age 12, he reached a medical milestone when the tracheostomy was reversed, and the G tube removed.
Isaac attended Birdville High School in Fort Worth, Texas where he graduated high school in 2014. At the time of his passing, he was working at Prospect in Fort Worth, TX
For Christmas 2021 he treated himself to a Xbox which he enjoyed playing and listening to music while he lay on his bed. Isaac was funny, charming, and a great raspy voiced storyteller, whose presence was always felt!
Isaac is survived by his parents James and Sylvia Mubiru, and 4 siblings, Mrs. Arnell, the nurse/bonus mom/ /nana/jajja, paternal grandmother and lots a of uncles and aunts, numerous cousins, and friends.
He will be missed by everyone because he never met a stranger.
A GoFundMe has been created to raise funds to return Isaac’s remains to Uganda.
