Isaac "Ike" Thomas

Isaac "Ike" Thomas, our funny man, music, and sports lover but most of all, passionate personal trainer, has been taken from us suddenly in a car accident.

He was 37.

Ike was born on January 23, 1986, in New Orleans, LA and immediately became the pride and joy of his mother Patricia. Pictures of always smiling Isaac still adorn her walls. As the first grandchild Isaac was surrounded with love – some would say favoritism. He was extremely close to his mother, grandmother, uncles, and younger brother Justin until his death.

We are all devastated.

Isaac loss is especially profound because of how hard he worked to be the great man that we have lost. In his teens Isaac fell in with a bad crowd and spent the next 10 years in and out of the justice system. All that changed in 2015. While incarcerated Isaac made up his mind that he would not be a statistic anymore. He brainstormed of ways that he could turn his life around. Ike began setting goals.

When released, Isaac realized he could use his love of fitness and nutrition to help people who were struggling to reach their goals. Isaac got straight to work. After a few odd jobs Ike became a Certified Personal Trainer. He worked at Burn Boot Camp and posted regularly to Instagram and Facebook. Using his humor Ike shared tips on healthy eating, proper technique when working out, and tons of challenges.

That all changed on Friday, December 8, 2023. In the early morning hours of our family received a devastating phone call, our beloved Isaac had been in a car accident and had passed away. He often did Door Dash to help with expenses for his continued education. While dashing a drunk driver hit Isaac and killed him.

This has been a total and complete shock to our family. We were unprepared for this extreme loss. We are asking all who Isaac’s life has touched to help our family provide a memorial to honor his life as we his family, his clients, coworkers, and friends say goodbye to him.
