Last week, my cousin Isaac became sick quite suddenly and was rushed to the Lompoc Emergency Room where he was told he was in liver and kidney failure. He was immediately transported to Santa Barbara Cottage hospital where a team of doctors fought to stabilize him and save his life. Despite everything, we were just told this morning that there is nothing more they can do to save him, and that the goal now is to keep Isaac comfortable until he passes away. It could be weeks or days, but all hope was extinguished today.
I can't express to you the level of heartbreak and misery that this news brings. Isaac is only 40 years old with his entire life ahead of him. It feels like just yesterday we were hanging out, laughing together, getting in all kinds of trouble and planning on taking the world by storm. Isaac is brilliant, kind, funny, and loved, and a world without him seems impossible and unbearable.

I'm raising money for his mother, Sandi, and father, Jim, who are losing their only son. They are kind and generous people who have been emotionally and financially devastated by Isaac's sudden illness, and I want to alleviate some of that burden if I can. Any funds that are generated will go directly to Isaac's parents for funeral and memorial expenses.
