Hello friends, my name is Isa, and I’m reaching out to ask for help with some essential repairs to my home in Stevensville, MT.
A bit about me:
As volunteer organizer and photographer at Missoula Resists events and local rallies, I dedicate my time to supporting community causes and uplifting voices for change. I also provide photography for not for profit events—often volunteering or accepting donations.
Living with Fibromyalgia, ADHD, and being Autistic, I face daily challenges that make managing my home and health a constant balancing act. Despite working two jobs—Data Entry and DoorDash Delivery—I am struggling to afford the repairs needed to keep my home safe and comfortable. Over the last few years, I’ve made progress, but the work os nowhere near done.
Asking for help feels vulnerable, especially knowing how many causes and crises there are in the world. But I believe that with community support, I can create a more stable, comfortable space—one that allows my loved ones and I more joy and connection, from which we can have more energy to give back to the community.
My Goals Before Winter
Fixing the A-Frame Loft
A major roof leak damaged my guest space, which I’m working to turn into a cozy room so my partner—who is allergic to cats and suffers from insomnia—can stay over comfortably. My bed space has no door, and the cats share that space with me, so creating an allergen-safe space for her and other guests is a priority. It’s been almost a year since she last stayed over. The repairs will cost around $700 in total.
Clearing Outside Trash
The outside of my home has accumulated trash over time, making it look like a small dump. I’ve saved $250 toward this project but need about $600 more to fully clear the piles and make the space safe and welcoming.
A Future Dream—Building a Catio
Once the essentials are secured, I’d love to build a safe outdoor cat enclosure under my carport, giving my cats a space to explore freely and safely. This project would be about $500.
Altogether, I am asking for $1,500 to help me complete these projects.
Why This Matters
Support for these goals would do more than just repair my home. It would free up my time and energy, allowing me to spend more meaningful moments with my partner, her dog, and my cats—rather than constantly splitting my focus between repairs, work, and personal care. It would also give me space to create art, deepen my volunteer work, and strengthen community connections—something I have less time for while juggling financial and physical challenges.
If you feel inspired to help, know that your contribution will make tangible benefits —bringing me closer to stability, connection, and the ability to keep giving back.
Every bit helps, including simply sharing this message.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Your kindness means a ton to me. ❤️
