One afternoon, my daughter looked up at me and asked, “Is Autumn sad in heaven?”

Autumn is her baby sister, who was stillborn—but never forgotten. That question stayed with me, and it became the heart of the children’s book I’ve written.

Is Autumn Sad in Heaven? is a gentle story to help families talk about grief, love, and healing with their children. It’s for parents who don’t know how to begin the conversation. For kids trying to make sense of loss. For anyone who’s ever wondered what happens to the people we love.

I’m self-publishing this book to keep creative control and make sure it reaches the people who need it most.

To start, I’m raising $5,000 to cover the full cost of illustration.

Once illustrations are complete, I’ll update the campaign to support the next steps of publishing and outreach.

This project will move forward in two phases. Right now, donations will help fund:

• Professional illustration (in three payments)

Future funds will go toward:

• Book design and layout

• ISBN purchase

• Printing proof copies

• Shipping copies to families, libraries, and schools

• Sending books to advocates and influencers
