On the evening of May 30, 2026, our son, Irving, was the victim of a devastating hit-and-run collision after leaving the Meadows Music Festival in Fergus. At approximately 10:55 p.m., he was struck by a vehicle on Wellington Road 18 near the Wellington Sports Complex. The driver fled the scene heading East, leaving Irving with life-threatening injuries.
As a family, we are still processing the shock of what has happened. While we remain hopeful and optimistic about Irving’s recovery, we know that he is facing a long and difficult road ahead. His focus now needs to be on healing, rehabilitation, and rebuilding his strength.
We have created this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden that comes with such a traumatic and unexpected event. Due to the severity of his injuries, Irving will be unable to work as he recovers. Donations will help cover lost income, any uncovered medical, rehabilitation expenses & therapy, transportation to appointments, daily living costs during recovery, and any legal expenses that may arise as the investigation continues. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will help provide Irving with the support he needs during this incredibly challenging time. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Irving in your thoughts is equally appreciated. If you witnessed the incident, have dashcam footage, security camera footage, or any information that may help identify the vehicle involved, please contact the Wellington OPP at 1-888-310-1122. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip online. Thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers as Irving begins his recovery journey.
