Irvine Clean Up Crew

Irvine Clean Up Crew are a volunteer-led community organisation with the aim to empower the local community to take positive action towards a cleaner, greener Irvine.

As well as community litter picks and individuals cleaning up their local area, we also promote education about littering and making more sustainable choices. We work quite closely with many local Irvine schools and take pupils out litter picking in their local area while using it as an opportunity to talk about what happens to our rubbish. Our school and community group litter picks are becoming more popular so we are looking to acquire another class set of litter picking equipment. This will allow us to take more young people out at a time and also provide more opportunity for longer term loans of equipment for green school projects.

If you are able to donate the money raised will be used to help us purchase new litter pickers/hi-vis vests, and buckets/hoops for use of young people in our community. A child litter picking kit costs approximately £30 so this money will allow us to buy 20 additional kits.
