Everesting Attempt for Qhubeka
On January 20th 2018 I will attempt to Everest Hendon Road and hope to raise money for Qhubeka and the cycling community in Singapore.
By completing this challenge I hope to raise S$5,000 for Qhubeka and S$5,000 for cycling in Singapore.
Date: 20th January 2018
Distance: 240-250 Kilometres
Laps: 341 Laps
Elevation: 8,866 metres
Time: 11-13 hours

Some have asked what the money raised for cycling in Singapore will be used towards:
If less than 5k is raised, or only marginally more than 5k the whole amount will goto Qhubeka.
With more than 5k raised the initial idea was to sponsor a race or race series, therefore guaranteeing an onshore race scheduled where people can have a go at low cost.
Failing that the money would be used for safe cycle iniatives, government lobbying for safer/more cycling areas/specific race circuit.
And if all else fails the money would be donated the Singapore national team.
