Support us as we race the Full Ironman Lake Placid 2025 to push our limits, inspire younger generations to chase big dreams, and raise funds for Massachusetts General Hospital and The Queen’s Medical Center — two hospitals tied to the places and people who made us who we are.

On July 20, 2025, we’re taking on one of the most iconic endurance races in the world — Ironman Lake Placid. It's more than just a race for us. It’s a symbol of how far we’ve come, what we believe in, and most importantly, the impact we hope to make.

We started our Ironman journey out of pure courage and determination — chasing what felt impossible. Last year, we completed our first Ironman 70.3 in Maine. Now, we’re ready to go all in; this time, we’re doing it for something bigger than ourselves.

We’re both pre-med students at Harvard passionate about healthcare and giving back. This race is our way of merging purpose with passion. Our fundraising goal is twofold:

$2000 for personal race expenses (travel, lodging, and race logistics).
100% of remaining proceeds will be donated to two hospitals that hold personal meaning for us: The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, Massachusetts

Why The Queen’s Medical Center?

Chancen was born and raised on Oʻahu and is double majoring in Bioengineering and Computer Science with a statistics minor. Grounded in the Native Hawaiian culture and values, he’s committed to giving back to the AAPI community that raised him. Health is the foundation for achieving big dreams, and this fundraiser is one way to uplift and support the well-being of his local community.

Why MGH?

Jiajia is double majoring in Chemistry and Human Evolutionary Biology, with a minor in Economics. Through working at MGH on postpartum PTSD and shadowing in the OB department — watching high risk births and seeing firsthand the complexity and power of childbirth — she’s been profoundly moved. Seeing how many people go through this life-altering process, herself included one day, she feels an immense desire to give back to the department that’s inspired her so much.

Together, we’re driven to make a difference — not just in the future as physicians, but right now, by doing bold, meaningful things and empowering others to dream big. Supporting this journey means helping us cross a finish line that represents both grit and giving.
