It is with a heavy and shattered heart that I do this campaign for my dad Santos Lopez. He is the greatest man I've known and have been so fortunate enough to call him my Dad, Apa, Papi, Daddy, Poppabear, my Ironman. My dad was the soleprovider of our family since the beginning. He was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer in November 2016 and worked so hard at his job, which he loved, in Park steel Company as a Welder for over 30+ years, even through his radiation treatment. My dad had recently purchased a home which he had so much hopes and dreams of fixing it up. Unfortunately, due to his illness all his saved up money went into medical bills, medicine, and ambulance trips that were not covered through insurance. After surgery, my dad was unable to work and I stepped up to provide as much as I could for my family with the help of my boyfriend and brother. My Dad was cured from Cancer in 2017 but unfortunately was rediagnosed in the same year with stage 4 rectal cancer. He started to slowly decline but never losing his spirit and laughter through it all. My dad was a fighter through and through and even though he was in so much pain and agony he kept fighting to live and be with his family, to one day accomplish his dreams and goals. My dad did everything he could to live longer. He is a man of faith and has instilled in us the power of prayer. We are beyond thankful for the time God has given us with our dad. We will FOREVER rejoice in all the wonderful memories our dad has given us. Like him, there is no other. He battled til his last breath. He passed away on Monday January 21, 2019. Our strong IRONMAN. He is know resting in peace, free of his pain. Oh Dad, you are so missed and so loved. It has been so hard to write this, as I cry and type at the same time but I know there are Angels on Earth who are willing to help or spread the word on my dad's final battle. Anything you can donate will be of much help. We appreciate your kindness and your time. I am his daughter Eva Lopez and I will be in charge of his final expenses which are needed as soon as possible. The amount shown is needed for the cemetery and mortuary expenses as well as a tombstone and flower vase. Again, thank you so much for your time, your donations, your thoughts, and your prayers. May God bless all of you.
