Ironman Race For Médecins Sans Frontières

One race...
Two guys...
452 kilometres...
$10,000...

Here’s the plan:

Following the absolute mess that was 2020, we wanted to do something that would have a positive impact in 2021.

After putting our heads together we came up with the foolish idea of racing an Ironman. The pinnacle of endurance events, the Ironman Triathlon is a 3.8km ocean swim, followed by a 180km bike ride, followed by a marathon (42.2km). The race takes 10 to 15 hours to complete and is being held in Busselton, Western Australia.

Luckily for us it’s not until December 5th, which gives us some time to get in fighting shape for the race. It also gives us time to reach our target of $10,000 for one of the most worthwhile charities on earth - Médecins Sans Frontières (aka Doctors Without Borders).

Doctors Without Borders exists to save lives by providing medical aid where it’s needed most. These humanitarians travel to conflict zones and natural disaster and famine struck areas to deliver care to critically ill men, women, and children.

We will be training the house down for the rest of the year, entering some races along the way, and providing updates for all who are interested via our personal Instagram and Facebook accounts.

If you can spare a few bucks and want to help those who need it most please consider donating. Any amount will make a huge difference.

Cheers, and see you at the finish line… if we make it.
