Every child deserves the chance to learn. But:

1 in 10 children worldwide are out of school.

1 in 4 children who complete primary education still cannot read, write, or count proficiently.

Let those number sink in for a moment.

On the 7th of June, I will be taking on IRONMAN 70.3 Alghero in support of Street Child, a charity dedicated to ensuring every child has access to quality education.

My goal is to raise €1,000 to help fund education projects in some of the world's most challenging environments, giving children the opportunity to learn, thrive, and build a brighter future.

Why Street Child?

Since 2008, Street Child has supported more than 650,000 children into education. They helped over 75,000 families establish sustainable businesses, enabling them to afford the long-term costs of educating their children.

Street Child believes that education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking the cycle of poverty. By working alongside local communities and partners, they create sustainable solutions that help children access education, even in low-resource settings and emergency situations.

Their approach combines immediate support for children with long-term investment in families, schools, and communities, creating lasting change where it is needed most.
