Ironman 70.3 Sunny coast in aid of Teenage cancer trust

In my first term of studying at Swansea uni, I was lucky enough to be put into the flat below a girl name Kel… little did I know that she would turn out to be one of my closest friends and one of my greatest sources of entertainment and laughter! Over the years, Kel, Izzy, Sasha and myself (the final chapter group) have experienced many a drunken night, accompanied by a fierce hangover also accompanied by amazing fry ups courtesy of Kel, girls trips to Croatia and nights out in our beloved Swansea, to name a few!

Unfortunately, in 2022 we had the awful news of Kels diagnosis of Sarcoma, a very rare and aggressive form of cancer. To say we were all devastated was an understatement. But Kel took everything in her stride, through every test and surgery of which there have been many, she continues to inspire us and all that know her.

Although myself, Izzie and Sasha may have thought ourself professionals in talking through Uni issues, boy troubles and new profile pictures, we were unable to help with the medical side of things and this is where the Teenage Cancer Trust comes in.

They were there to help Kel through her initial diagnosis and have given her fundamental support over the years.

Teenage Cancer Trust offers unique care and support, designed for and with young people. They fund specialised nurses, youth workers and hospital units in the NHS, so young people have dedicated staff and facilities to support them throughout treatment.

Myself and my fiance are doing to Sunshine Coast 70.3 Ironman in September and would love to raise money to help this amazing charity. Any donation will mean so much and can make a huge difference to the lives of people going through cancer.
