Hey, my name is Ida and I’ll be competing in the Ironman 70.3 Mont-Tremblant to raise awareness and support for those affected by Alzheimer’s
This year, my family has been hit in a different, new and challenging way. Both my grandmother and my uncle have seen their Alzheimer’s disease progress, and watching their memories fade has been heartbreaking. It affects them deeply, but it also impacts everyone around them. The emotional, physical, and mental toll has changed our family in ways we didn’t think we can handle.
On June 21, 2026, I will be competing in the Ironman 70.3 Mont-Tremblant. I’m dedicating this race to them and to all those who can’t race, run, or even remember the way they used to. I’ll be racing for those who no longer have the strength, and for the families who fight beside them every day.
I’m doing this because I can, because my mind and body still allow me to. And I want to use that privilege to raise awareness, to honour my loved ones, and to support the incredible people at the Alzheimer Society of Canada, who provide essential care, research, and resources to families like mine.
All collected funds will be donated directly to the Montreal Alzheimer’s Society.
If you’re able, please consider donating. Every contribution — big or small — helps support families, fund research, and give care to those who need it most. If you can’t donate, simply sharing this post is just as meaningful.
Every swim stroke, every pedal, and every step on that course will be for my grandmother, for my uncle, and for anyone who has ever watched someone they love lose their memories.
Thank you for standing with me, supporting this cause, and helping bring hope to so many. Together, we can turn pain into purpose and memory into movement.
Thank you for your support.
