Iris' Liver Transplant

Since April 1st, my niece, Iris has been battling for her life in the Children's Mercy Intensive Care Unit. She has experienced liver failure, and despite the doctors' efforts, they have been unable to determine the cause. While the doctors were fully prepared to do a transplant surgery Iris made a miraculous recovery. She is now off of the ventilator and dialysis. She is not fully out of the woods yet and remains on the transplant list while she is still under observation.
