Irish Footballers Benevolent Fund
Donation protected
The donations for this year's Soccer Writers' Ireland Banquet will be split evenly between Jacko McDonagh and an overall Irish Professional Footballers Benevolent Association.
Jacko is a former Ireland international who enjoyed a distinguished career with former clubs including Bohemians, Shamrock Rovers and Nimes.
Last May, he suffered a severe stroke, leaving him paralysed on his left side and needing extensive care to support his needs.
The Irish Professional Footballers Benevolent Association was formed in 2023 and aims to provide support for the welfare of male and female ex-professional football players.
The committee consists of 12 ex-professional players, encompassing representation from the men's and women’s game, including Harry McCue (Chairman), Martin Lawlor (Secretary), Mick Byrne (Treasurer) and Brendan Dillon (Legal Sec.).
Your donations, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all the support.
