Hi, my name is Greg, and I'm raising funds for Iris Worland, who was just diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's disease.
With her recent diagnosis, she is no longer able to work or drive, and she is still waiting to be placed on Disability so she can access government services. Living alone, she will need a home health aide. As she and her care team figure out next steps, freeing them from the additional financial stress would be a gift beyond measure.
Iris is quite possibly the most gentle and loving soul there is, and she needs help. Whether you knew her from the Farm, Eckerd College, environmental work, or as a teacher and a mother in Vermont; you know her smile and warmth radiates like a beacon. A leap year baby, she is only 47 years old or has had 11 and 3/4 birthdays. Any way you count, though, this is too young.
She is still living in her house in Vermont, with her daughter Julia in college, her son Nate is in high school, and her mother in Florida. There is an ever increasing community of support growing around her, and she needs your help.
Please give what you can, just as Iris has been a giver all her life.
