Irina’s Multiple Sclerosis Fight
A fight that we need to win – together
My dear friends and family:
The last year has been a rollercoaster for me and for the whole world because the world is fighting devastating new virus COVID and I am fighting a devastating disease Multiple Sclerosis (MS.). It is an incurable disabling autoimmune disease damaging the central nervous system. This is where the story of my life needs your help.
I was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting MS in 2015 and in the beginning I didn’t quite understand what it meant. I was put on four different medications, but I am declining rapidly without a good idea what is wrong with me, why I have this aggressive chronic disease.
In that past five years I have lost my ability to do what I like to do most i.e. Hiking. Outdoor hiking with my daughters and doing sports at the gym is something which has been dear to me. It has been hard to realize that I have lost those activities.
However, there has been a ray of hope for me using advanced medical care.
In 2020, I learned about the alternative treatment Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) in Moscow, Russia and have decided to do it. It is my sincere hope that this stem cell transplant halts further progression of the disease and perhaps some lost function is restored, so that my quality of life improves.
My loved ones, please help me for supporting this treatment for multiple sclerosis. All donations will go towards my HSCT treatment, which I will begin in March of this year.
Sharing this link with others interested in MS cause can also be helpful.
Thank you for your consideration.
