Irene’s Cancer Treatment Fund

Donation protected

To our dearest friends and family. It pains my soul to share with everyone the heart-wrenching news. My mother has cancer.
I’m saying this as bluntly and clearly as it was presented to us. It’s real! As real as our living lives. And it’s hard! Being ill is something my mom is unfamiliar with. Moving and shaking is all she did and now a walk to the restroom a few feet on her is like a marathon. She was diagnosed with AML(Acute Myeloid Leukemia).
A blood cancer, in which white blood cells start attacking platelet inside her body, destroying each other and her.
Having never been seriously ill my mom didn’t know the disease was incubating inside. The fatigue, weakness, near blackouts, and no appetite became very concerning that we insisted she gets blood tested.

Thank you to my Uncle Brian, Uncle Barrett, and my sister Brie, who without your pressure it would have been a fatal diagnosis.

On February 27th, my mom was at life-threatening dangerous high white blood numbers and was admitted immediately for observation. By March she had transferred to the City Of Hope Cancer Medical Hospital Duarte, Ca. There she has been receiving constant and current treatments(blood and platelet transfusions, hydration, and antibiotics).

I’m creating this donation account to ask for help from our family and friends during this difficult challenge. All donations will go to the hospital / medical bills.

Message from Irene “My love, and thanks to everyone who knew, for all your prayers, texts, phone calls, and visits during this time.
It is the strength of your love messages and support that powers me daily. Never did I think this would happen to me. I always thought there was time. Peace be with you. I love you now and forever family.”

Update:
I share all your well wishes, prayers, and support that you each have continuously given with my mother daily.
5/11 was a huge day, her third biopsy which determines what percentage of cancer still maybe present.
Overall, her blood numbers are looking good daily, those too go up and down getting needed transfusions as well.
The biopsy procedure pains our hearts each time she does it. She expresses her fears and discomfort to us as she’s counting down from the days ahead up to the minutes of.
How do you comfort your love one to the surety that everything is going to be absolutely OK? We cannot hold her hand during, it’s only all our love, prayers, and support given. I remind her were waiting for her, and to be stronger daily in each new day she is provided from God.
Please continue to help me strengthen and encourage my Mom’s recovery with your appreciated love and support
I will let you know the results as they continue to come.
