As some of you know, earlier this February, our widely loved friend, Irene Dimatulac, was diagnosed with Stage 2 Osteosarcoma. She will undergo surgery as well as weeks of chemotherapy to treat the cancer.

Due to this unforeseen situation, Irene has had to put several ongoing passions on hold — pursuing a degree in Speech Language Pathology at Teachers College, being a major part of SAL NYC and contributing to the local Asian community, spending time at the gym climbing, and lastly, enjoying her time with family and friends.

Irene is nothing short of a great friend; she radiates joy in every room she enters. We have created this page to help support the Dimatulac family with the medical expenses that might come from this journey. This six letter word is never what anyone wants to hear, but we are certain Irene will kick cancer’s butt and come back to us, healthy and cancer-free. Please help us relieve the Dimatulac family from the stress that this news may have caused them. We cannot wait to have Irene back to doing all the things that she loves.
