Irene Tomoe Cooper (1965-2020) was a well-known relationship and female leadership coach  who undertook further academic studies in coaching at the Institute of Continuing Education in the University of Cambridge (Certificate 2017, Diploma 2018).

Irene was one of those special people who radiated happiness, hope and love in equal measure. She brought people together by connecting with everyone. Irene famously introduced herself as a ‘love coach’ but her professional mission was more profound than that - she helped her clients to achieve balance and harmony in their work, life and relationships. 

Sadly, Irene recently passed away following a seven year battle with breast cancer. Irene was passionate about making a difference. Despite having secondary bone cancer herself, Irene successfully ran the London Marathon in 2018 to raise money for breast cancer research. Her love knew no boundaries. 

Irene’s friends and colleagues at the University of Cambridge are raising money to establish an annual bursary and prize in her memory to support and encourage aspiring coaches in their studies at the Institute of Continuing Education at Madingley Hall in the University of Cambridge. Irene's impact as a coach will live on by enabling and encouraging coaching students to carry her flame of hope forward for others. The Irene Tomoe Cooper Memorial Fund will support two educational goals in memory of Irene's own journey at Cambridge:

1. The Irene Tomoe Cooper Bursary will provide fee support for a coaching student who would otherwise struggle to study at Cambridge. 

2. The Irene Tomoe Cooper Prize will be awarded each year to a coaching student who demonstrates Outstanding Coaching Presence during their studies at Cambridge.

Irene’s friends, colleagues and clients who wish to honour Irene are invited to make a donation to establish the Irene Tomoe Cooper Memorial Fund. The Fund will allow Irene’s name to live on at Cambridge by providing financial support for the annual bursary and prize in Irene’s memory, as well as a suitable memorial on the grounds of Madingley Hall in Cambridge, as the place that inspired Irene and gave her so much hope when she needed it most.

Irene often said that she wanted to leave ‘a legacy of love’. Irene achieved her dream by touching the hearts of everyone who knew her. The Irene Tomoe Cooper Memorial Fund will keep Irene’s dream alive by supporting and encouraging coaching students at the University of Cambridge. Thank you for remembering Irene in this way and honouring her presence in all our lives. Be part of her dream. Let love touch you.

The Irene Tomoe Cooper Memorial Fund is being established by direct donations from Irene’s friends, colleagues and clients, with the support of her family. The Fund is being co-ordinated by Dr. Mark Levick and Mrs. Kerry Dudley on behalf of Irene’s alumni group at Cambridge. Mark is an academic tutor  in coaching at the University of Cambridge. Kerry is a leadership coach who is acting as the financial intermediary between donors and the final beneficiary - The Irene Tomoe Cooper Memorial Fund, which receives 100% of all donations. The Fund is held, administered and audited by the Institute of Continuing Education in the University of Cambridge. The Irene Tomoe Cooper Bursary and the Irene Tomoe Cooper Prize will be awarded each year to two coaching students nominated by the academic tutor panel

残念ながらアイリーンは最近、7年もの乳がんとの戦いの後、この世を去りました。ケンブリッジ大学のアイリーンの友人や同僚は彼女の偉業への思いを込め、同大学マディンリー·ホールの生涯学習院で学業に励む意欲的なコーチへの支援·激励のため、奨学金や賞を毎年提供するべく資金を募っています。

アイリーン・トモエ・クーパー奨学金により、ケンブリッジでのコーチングに関する学業に支障のある学生1名に金銭的支援を提供いたします。 
アイリーン・トモエ・クーパー賞は毎年、ケンブリッジ大学在学中に素晴らしい成績を残したコーチングの学生1名に授与されます。

アイリーンは、「愛の遺産」を残したいと何度も語っていました。数多くの友人や同僚、そして顧客の心に触れることで、彼女はその夢を達成しました。アイリーン·トモエ·クーパー記念基金では、ケンブリッジ大学マディンリー·ホールの継続教育院でコーチングを学ぶ学生をサポートし支援することで、アイリーンの夢を続けます。夢の一部になり、愛に触れさせましょう。
