Hello Everyone!
My mother, Irene, passed away from an extremely rare and aggressive lymphoma cancer. She was admitted to Saint Johns and a few days later was rushed over to UCLA medical center for treatment. The cancer was extremely aggressive so the treatment was also aggressive. She developed a bad bleed in her colon and had about 30 units of blood given to her within the span of 15 days. Last week, we were able to transfer her to our home when the doctors said there was nothing more that could be done. Here, we gave her comfort, and she could hear all our voices and feel our love. The expression on her face changed to a look of peace as soon as she arrived, and she passed on October 17th in the evening surrounded by the love of family.
Through her 35 year career as an RN in the NICU she helped deliver hundreds of babies with tremendous care and joyful spirit. With a joyful spirit in your heart, will you be able to contribute toward her funeral arrangements? Our family would be so grateful for your selfless spirit of giving. My sister , Jacquelyn Torres is making arrangements for our moms funeral and will be handling the payments for her funeral expenses. On 10/27 our moms viewing will be at 9 AM followed by mass at 11AM both will be held at Mary Star Of The Sea Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Conejo Mountain Cemetary.
