Hi, my name is Jula Tully and I am a senior at Madison High School in New Jersey, USA. I just finished my final lacrosse season at MHS by helping to lead my team to win the first sectional state championship in history for girls lacrosse at Madison!
As most of you know I am a goalie and I have been in this position since the fifth grade. I was instantly connected and could not imagine myself playing in any other position. Over the years I worked very hard, enrolled in training and truly dedicated myself to this position and my teammates. I always heard of playing in an international league but wasn’t sure where or how, until I heard about the Women’s Lacrosse World Tournament.
This event hosts the best the world has to offer for U19 women’s lacrosse. I was so excited when I heard about this, and I immediately looked up the Irish Women’s Team to find out when their tryouts would be held. I registered, and attended the first tryout in New York last August and then was invited to the second round of tryouts this past November in Dublin which I also attended.
The official roster was released in February and I made the team!
My Irish teammates and I will be traveling to Peterborough, Ontario in Canada this August to compete in the Lacrosse World Tournament. We will be competing against teams like Uganda, China and other competitive countries. I know we have a strong Irish Team so I am ready and really looking forward to this tournament!
To help this First EVER U19 Women’s Irish Lacrosse Team achieve their goals we will need your support.
