Ireland helps family repatriate Thiago Cortes RIP

Hello Everyone! I live in the neighbourhood where this tragic hit and run happened. I have felt helpless and didn't know what to do to help this poor family. My friend Ciara Maguire suggested a gofundme.
I set up this fundraiser today September 3rd as a symbolic act to show the family that Ireland supports them and is offering support during this tragic time.
I have been put in contact with the immediate friends of Thiago and family who are helping his fiancee during this turmoil. I have spoken to them and they are aware that I am fundraising for them...
I have contacted the Embassy of Brazil in Dublin to organise for the funds to go directly to the family. I will update you when I have more news...
I want to ensure 100% of the funds go directly to Teresa, Thiago's fiancee who came to Dublin for a better life. The money will help the family pay for the funeral expenses. They are currently organising the funeral details.
I am verifying ID/bank accounts etc,, to ensure she is the sole beneficiary.

At around 10.30pm on Monday, Thiago Cortes (28) was on North Wall Quay in the city and about to finish his shift with Deliveroo and cycle home to his fiancée Teresa Oliveira, in Portobello, when he was hit by a car that failed to stop.
We, the residents of nearby Spencer dock community are sickened and saddened at the unnecessary and untimely death of this young man out making an honest living.
We want to support his family and friends during this tragedy and we want to donate money to help the family fund the repatriation costs and additional funeral expenses.
Its a small sign of love and respect from his home-away-from-home in Ireland.
Mr Cortes's father, Celso Cortes, paid tribute to his son.
"It will be impossible to forget the day they stole from me the most precious asset," he wrote on Facebook.
"Today my dear son passed away. I am revolted by how death took him so unexpectedly.
Please donate whatever you can... all funds will go to his fiancee in Dublin and his family in Brazil.
