Ireland 4 Peak Challenge
On Saturday 27th July, 10am, I will be commencing the 4 Peaks of Ireland Challenge, setting out to climb the highest peaks in each of the four provinces of Ireland within 44 hours with a team lead by Jason Black Mountaineering. The challenge is 4IN44 so you have a 44 hour window to complete all climbs in a continuous endurance style challenge with no overnight stays. 2x day climbs and 2x night climbs, travelling in between.
Commencing at base of Slieve Donard 10am Saturday 27th July
Slieve Donard, Co. Down (850m)
Lugnaquilla, Co. Wicklow (925m)
Carrauntoohil, Co. Kerry (1038m)
Mweelrea, Co. Mayo (814m)
Return to base of Slieve Donard by 6am Monday morning
I have decided to use the challenge to run a small fundraiser within Marcon, raising money for the British Heart Foundation, a charity very lose to me, having lost my father at the age of 51 and 3x uncles to a hereditary heart condition.
Any small donations will be greatly appreciated.
