Today, we lost a beautiful soul, Ira Jaan Simbulan. A rising sophomore in college, Ira was a strong, ambitious and intelligent girl. On behalf of the Simbulan with support of the Bhatnagar family, we are raising money to immortalize Ira, build a memorial, fund the funeral, and burial.
Her friends, family, and classmates will always remember her gentle nature and strong will to succeed despite the odds.
"This girl loved to talk to everyone she met and was always the one to speak the most in a room. She loved to learn and tried her hardest to get as much information as she could.
She participated in every school club that she could, in order to keep up with everyone around her. Ira tried her best to make up for the life she was forced to live in the Philippines. She arrived in the U.S. four years ago, and worked non-stop to catch up to people who grew up here. She studied hard for SAT's and did really well."
- Arjun Bhatnagar
During this time we ask for your thoughts and prayers for the long journey that awaits her friends, family and loved ones. If you could please donate or share this page to help Ira's family create the neccessary arrangements for her funeral processon it would be greatly appreciated.
