Iraia Hakaraia Ngamotu takes on the world champs

Hi all!

We’re creating this account to help get Iraia and his parents to Thailand for the 16th Dragon boat world championships held in a few months time.

Iraia has been successful in the selection process making this his first world titles. We’re also really proud to know that he is the only representative from QLD to make the junior division. A huge honor and privilege for him so we want to make sure he crosses the line and gets to Thailand.

This great opportunity for our junior comes with a big cost. To elevate the financial side of things as best we can we’re trying to find ways to fundraise with the little time we have.

Iraia has come a long way since the day he picked up his first paddle in 2021 to now. We want to see him on the world stage representing the green and gold, any donation you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Currently the estimated cost $6,859 we’re aiming to fundraise at least $4,000 by end of May.

As a club we know Iraia has what it takes, let’s get him to worlds!
