This morning, my brother passed away from smoke inhalation due to a fire at his group home. The fire is being investigated as arson by another resident. That resident was able to get out, but unfortunately, my brother was not able to get himself out of the house.

For those of you who knew Ira, you know he was full of love. He had to deal with the murder of his father and the death of his mother, but was still able to move forward. It's hard to understand what someone with special needs feels, but he felt deeply. Now we all feel deeply for Ira.

This terrible tragedy came unexpectedly and any help that you can provide will help us give Ira the burial that he deserves. Thank you for your help and understanding.
