Many people would like to donate directly to the cause. We are working on settinh up a banking account for these funds so you can deposit directly. 

For now if you do not want to donate here you can EMT [email redacted] and 100% of these funds will go towards providing safe drinking water measures to residents of Iqaluit, NU while we are in a state of emergency.

Oct 16 2021 update: 

Nakurmiik everyone who has donated! We appreciate this so much and could not do this without your help. So far we have purchased the following: 

1. 150 of the 11-15 litre reusable water jugs 

2. 110 water pump jug dispensers

3. 49 shower bags 

4.  100 water dispensers for in the fridge 

5.  32 cases of ready to drink formula 

6.  11 stock pots for boiling water

Today we had delivered 100 filled water jugs to residents of Iqaluit all thanks to your help! 

Once we receive more jugs and the rest of the orders arrive we will distribute to community members.  

The remainder of the funds will continue to be used for ensuring people have access in their homes for safe drinking purposes. We will continue to order jugs, pumps, pots and any other items that community members express is needed.

Iqaluit state of emergency Oct 2021

Petroleum hydrocarbons found in the water- a no consumption order put in place.

Needing donations to purchase water jugs for its 8,000 residents.

Will order jugs from down south, ship via cargo and then distributed to community members once it arrives.

Bottled water already being flown in. 

These funds will help provide families with safe means of collecting and storing water.

If enough funds raised for jugs then remainder will go to purchasing water/ cleaning cost to homeowners water tanks that the city is not paying for.
