The Blind Investment

The primary goal of this organization is to provide confidential, community-based housing, individual and group counseling, child care, and job training which would allow individuals to process their abusive relationship (s) and meet regularly in order to recognize patterns of domestic violence, break the cycles of abuse, and set goals towards improving their lives. The secondary goal of this organization is to provide mentors who are former victims to provide continual long-term support and reduce recidivism rates. The final goal is to provide direct access to necessary physical resources that include legal aid, transportation for people to leave an abusive situation, transportation to and from all family needs, and holistic health care. This will encompass the purchase of land so that small, sustainable, eco-friendly housing can be provided to women to escape and tools to learn trades, converted hotels into comprehensive community centers, and private homes of individuals/families who sublease to survivors and their dependents.
