To celebrate International Charity Day IPS Aid is marking the occasion by running a special charity fundraiser in aid of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust (KBRT) - a heartfelt cause that helps families bring their loved ones home in their most difficult moments.

The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust (KBRT) was founded by Colin and Eithne Bell after the heartbreaking loss of their son Kevin, who died suddenly in New York in 2013. In the days that followed, friends, family, and the wider community rallied together to raise funds to bring Kevin home to Ireland. When the Bells saw the generosity had far exceeded what was needed, they chose to use the remaining funds to help other families facing the same devastating experience.

Since then, KBRT has been a source of comfort and practical support for families across Ireland who have lost a loved one tragically while abroad. To date, KBRT has brought over 1,600 loved ones back to their families. The charity not only helps cover the often significant cost of repatriation, which can cost several thousand euros, but also handles the complex arrangements needed to return someone home quickly and with dignity. This support is given to anyone in need, regardless of nationality, religion, or background, and the organisation relies entirely on donations to continue its work.
