IPF Junior World Championships 2025 - Emils Jekabsons

Hi Everyone,

My name is Emils Jekabsons, and I am a 21-year-old powerlifter and an Aerospace Engineering student.

I am excited to share that I’ve been selected to represent Ireland at my first-ever IPF Junior World Powerlifting Championships this September in Costa Rica, with my recent performance at Junior Nationals in April, where I placed second with a 761kg total.

This opportunity means the world to me, but unfortunately, there’s no government funding available to athletes. While the federation covers competition and anti-doping fees, all other costs like flights, accommodation, and food must come out of pocket.

I’m hoping to raise €1600 to help cover:

€690 for flights

€620 for the official IPF hotel (Mandatory)

€200 for food

€90 for insurance.
