iPads for underfunded New York Hospitals

Donation protected
No one should die alone.

Due to the infectious nature of COVID, family members are not allowed in the hospitals, leaving patients hospitalized with no family at their side. This particularly affects those in our community who can not afford the technology to contact their loved ones, because they don’t get a chance to say goodbye.

This was brought to my attention when I found out about Nurse Practitioner Catherine Hopkins, who works at St. Joseph’s Medical Center, an underfunded Catholic hospital in Yonkers, NY(link is below). Hospitals like St. Joseph’s don’t have the resources to provide iPads for patients, which forces the medical staff to use their own devices in those final moments.

We are looking for anyone who would like to donate their old iPads to support patients during their last moments. We’re also taking donations, to go towards more iPads and mailing expenses. Any contribution helps.

If you have an iPad to donate, please email me at [email redacted] and I will go through the logistics of sending it to
