Iowa Disaster Relief- March 5, 2022

A local Madison family, Devin, Mallory, Naomi and Maggie Cooper, are grieving the loss of a mother/mother-in-law/grandmother, brother-in-law/uncle, niece and nephew/cousins after a devastating tornado that hit Winterset, Iowa on Saturday. The Cooper’s request your thoughts and prayers for their family during this trying time.

On the evening of March 5, 2022, a deadly tornado ripped through the Winterset, Iowa community. It took the precious lives of Melissa Bazley, son-in-law, Mike Bolger, and two of his three children, Kinlee Bolger (5), and Owen Bolger (2).

Those that survived are Raymond Bazley (husband of Melissa Bazley), Seth Bazley (son of Melissa and Raymond Bazley), Kuri Bolger (wife of Mike and mother to Brysen, Kinlee and Owen and daughter of Melissa Bazley), Brysen Bolger (7) (Mike and Kuri’s eldest child).
